Yatra SBI Credit Card Review

SBI Card · Travel co-brand · Visa / Mastercard
Our score: 6.5 / 10
Fee: ₹499
6 RP / ₹100 on key categories
₹1,000 + ₹4,000 flight vouchers
Welcome gift withdrawn (2025)

The Yatra SBI Card is a budget travel co-brand built around discount vouchers for flight bookings on Yatra.com, plus accelerated reward points on everyday categories. It remains live in 2026, but two of its headline perks were trimmed in 2025 — so it is worth understanding what you actually get today.

TL;DR: A low-fee (₹499) travel card earning 6 RP per ₹100 on departmental stores, grocery, dining, movies, entertainment and international spends, plus ₹1,000/₹4,000 off domestic/international Yatra flight bookings. But the welcome gift (from May 2025) and the ₹50 lakh air-accident cover (from July 2025) have both been discontinued, which thins the value. Reasonable if you book on Yatra; everyday spenders may find flat-cashback cards simpler.

Rewards & travel value — the real picture

  • 6 RP per ₹100 on departmental stores, grocery, dining, movies, entertainment and international spends, capped at 5,000 RP/month per category.
  • Flight vouchers: ₹1,000 off domestic and ₹4,000 off international flight bookings on Yatra.com.
  • 1 RP per ₹100 on all other spends.

What changed: historically the card advertised activation/welcome benefits worth up to ₹8,250 and a ₹50 lakh air-accident insurance cover. SBI Card discontinued the welcome gift from 1 May 2025 and the air-accident cover from 26 July 2025. So if you are reading older reviews quoting those perks, they no longer apply — budget your expectations around the rewards and flight vouchers only.

Who this card is for

  • Best fit: people who book flights and hotels through Yatra.com and will use the vouchers.
  • Skip if: you want simple cashback, lounge access, or you do not book via Yatra.

How to apply & how to cancel

Apply: via sbicard.com or the SBI Card app. Cancel: call SBI Card helpline after clearing dues; redeem points first.

Final verdict

The Yatra SBI Card is a serviceable, low-fee travel co-brand for committed Yatra.com users — the flight vouchers and 6 RP categories can offset the ₹499 fee. But the 2025 removal of the welcome gift and air-accident cover has dulled its appeal, and outside the Yatra ecosystem a flat-cashback card usually delivers more for everyday spends.
