The BookMyForex Forex Card is a multi-currency prepaid card issued with YES Bank and sold through the BookMyForex platform. It has no reload, refund or inactivity fees and lets you compare rates before loading.

Its “zero markup” headline needs reading carefully: interbank rates apply only to specific currencies, in select cities, for larger orders with a promo code. Most users pay a small spread like any other forex card.

In short: A low-fee forex card with no reload, refund or inactivity charges and a ₹100–₹300 service charge per order. 14 currencies, 3.5% cross-currency fee, USD 2 per ATM withdrawal. Zero markup only under specific conditions.

How the card charges you

You load currency at the BookMyForex card rate on the day of your order. Supported currencies: USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, SGD, AED, SAR, THB, CHF, HKD, NZD, JPY and ZAR.

About “zero markup”: interbank rates apply only on specific currencies, in select cities, for orders of ₹1.5 lakh or more, using the promo code shown on the site. Otherwise a normal card rate applies.

USD single-currency card: a separate card for US dollar spending with no ATM, cross-currency, reload, unload or issuance fees (local ATM operators may still charge).

Worked example: Order a ₹2 lakh card for a US trip: service charge ₹100 + GST, GST on currency conversion about ₹270, and — if the order qualifies — interbank rates. Compared with a 3.5% credit card markup plus GST (about ₹8,260), the saving is large. If you will withdraw a lot of cash in the US, the USD single-currency card avoids the USD 2 ATM fee.
