The IDFC FIRST Classic is a lifetime-free entry card. Since 18 June 2026 it earns 10X points on dining, travel and birthday spends (international spends earn no points from 26 Oct 2026), and IDFC FIRST has removed the forex markup on its credit cards.

The earlier structure (10X only on spends above ₹20,000 a month) no longer applies, which makes the card more useful for everyday diners and travellers.

In short: A lifetime-free card with 10X points on dining, travel and birthday spends (international spends earn no points from 26 Oct 2026), 3X elsewhere and 1X on bills, plus 0% forex markup, a ₹500 welcome voucher, conditional railway lounges and roadside assistance.

Update, 26 October 2026: IDFC FIRST’s cardmember notice says international transactions no longer earn reward points on this card from 26 October 2026. The bank removed the forex markup (now 0%) on all its credit cards from 9 September 2026. Some IDFC product pages still show the older 10X rate on international spends; we follow the dated cardmember notice.
