The Axis Atlas is a travel card built around EDGE Miles and spend-based tiers. It earns 5 miles per ₹100 on travel booked through Axis Travel EDGE or directly with airlines and hotels, and 2 per ₹100 on most other spends.

Its value rises with spending: crossing ₹7.5 lakh and ₹15 lakh a year moves you to Gold and Platinum tiers, with more lounge visits, milestone miles and renewal miles. Bookings made through online travel agencies earn only the base rate.

In short: A ₹5,000 travel card earning 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on direct travel (up to ₹2 lakh a month) and 2 elsewhere, with milestones of 2,500, 2,500 and 5,000 miles at ₹3, 7.5 and 15 lakh, tiered lounges (8+4 rising to 18+12 a year, guests included) and miles worth ₹1 on Travel EDGE or more via transfers.

1 EDGE Mile = ₹1 on Travel EDGE; miles cannot be converted to cash. Transfers are 1 Mile = 2 points for most partners and 2 Miles = 1 point for some, with annual caps (30,000 Group A, 1,20,000 Group B, 1,50,000 total).

Axis changes in 2026: from 28 Aug 2026 Priority Pass no longer works at domestic Indian lounges on Axis cards (use the card and boarding pass instead), gift cards and tolls earn nothing, and the markup on overseas transactions billed in rupees changed. Axis also reshuffled its airline and hotel transfer partners several times between April and September 2026 — check the current partner list before transferring.

Worked example: Spend ₹18 lakh a year — ₹30,000 a month on direct travel and ₹1.2 lakh on other spends. You earn 18,000 + 28,800 = 46,800 miles, plus 10,000 milestone miles and 5,000 Platinum renewal miles — 61,800 miles, worth about ₹61,800 on Travel EDGE, against a ₹5,900 fee. At ₹6 lakh a year the same mix gives about 18,100 miles.

Who this card is for

  • Good fit: frequent travellers who book flights and hotels directly and spend ₹7.5 lakh+ a year.
  • Skip if: you book through online travel agencies or spend under ₹3 lakh a year.

Alternatives worth comparing

Final verdict

Still one of the best mid-premium travel cards for people who book direct and spend ₹7.5–15 lakh a year. The repeated transfer changes and uncertain availability are the main caveats.
