Verified October 2026 against the issuer’s current product page, terms and notices: HDFC Bank no longer issues the 6E Rewards XL IndiGo Credit Card and has ended its IndiGo co-brand programme. Active cardholders were told from 26 August 2025 that their card would move to another HDFC Bank card. The old card could be used until 31 October 2025; from 1 November 2025 it stopped earning 6E Rewards and its lounge, golf and other features ended. Unused 6E Rewards became IndiGo BluChips at 1:1 on 1 November 2025.

What happened
- HDFC Bank phased out its IndiGo co-brand programme and stopped accepting applications.
- Migration messages went out by SMS and email on 26 August 2025 and 23 September 2025. Active cards were moved to another HDFC Bank card named in each holder’s own message.
- The old card could be used until 31 October 2025. From 1 November 2025 it earned no 6E Rewards, and lounge, golf and other features stopped.
- The 6E Rewards programme closed on 31 October 2025. Unused 6E Rewards converted 1:1 to IndiGo BluChips on 1 November 2025.
What former cardholders should know
- BluChips stay with IndiGo and cannot be moved to your new HDFC card. Redeem them on goindigo.in or the IndiGo app, against the base fare.
- BluChips are valid for 24 months, extended by a month after any earn or redeem activity; the first redemption needs at least 500 BluChips.
- Check the fees and rewards of the HDFC card you were moved to — they differ from the 6E Rewards XL.
