All fees and reward rates verified against issuer official T&C pages as of June 2026. Reward programmes change frequently — confirm with the issuer before applying.

Checked October 2026. Movie offers change often and many now need a minimum spend in the previous month or quarter. Each benefit above was checked against the issuer’s current terms in October 2026.

Before you pick a movie card

Buy-one-get-one and movie-ticket discounts are the most frequently changed benefits on Indian cards. The BookMyShow co-brand card with RBL Bank was transitioned in December 2025, and several issuers have capped monthly movie benefits. Check the current offer on the card’s own page before applying.

Is a movie card worth it?

If you watch two films a month with a partner, a BOGO benefit capped at ₹250 per ticket saves up to ₹6,000 a year. If you watch twice a year, a general cashback card will beat any movie-specific card.

Worked example

A couple spending ₹1,200 a month on tickets and snacks: a BOGO card saves about ₹500 a month (₹6,000 a year), while a 5% entertainment cashback card saves ₹720 a year. The BOGO card wins — if the offer covers your preferred cinema chain and the days you go.

Tips

  • BOGO offers usually require booking through a specific app and apply to a limited number of tickets per month.
  • Snacks and convenience fees are often excluded.
  • Streaming subscriptions are a separate category — see cards for OTT subscriptions.

Reviewed October 2026. Card features change often — confirm current terms on the issuer’s site before applying.
